Magazine.  This year’s list measures revenue from 2017 to 2020.  To qualify, companies must have been founded and generating revenue by March 31, 2017.  These companies must be U.S.-based, privately held, for-profit, and independent.  Honorees must also have generated at least $100,000 in revenue in 2017 and at least $2 million in revenue in 2020.
